We’re proud to share exciting updates from Aroma Café & Miel Honduras, Ecotierra’s latest project.

In its very first year of operation, ACM was ranked 31st out of 73 green coffee exporters in Honduras—a result released by the Honduran Coffee Institute (IHCAFE), the official body for export validation. This places ACM firmly among the country’s solid mid-volume exporters.

“We’re thrilled with the result. Being in the top tier in year one is something not many companies achieve. This sends a message to cooperatives and associations: we’re here, we’re ready, and we’re committed to doing great work together.”- Jaime Ortega, General Manager of Aroma Café & Miel

A Year of Progress and Partnerships

Earlier this month, we celebrated ACM’s first anniversary, joined by over 35 guests, including clients, technical partners like SOCODEVI, and seven cooperatives.

Cooperative representatives expressed how meaningful this collaboration has already been—from farm-level support to milling and export logistics. With ACM, they see a reliable partner offering services they once had no control over.

During a recent visit to one cooperative, a manager shared a powerful statement with a member of ElevaFinca: “It’s time to move on from dishonest partners who’ve cost us both volume and income. With ACM, we finally have a partner we can trust.”

New Infrastructure, Expanded Services

We’re also nearing the launch of one of the most modern dry mills in Honduras. Machinery importation is complete, and the installation process is now in its final stage. At 90% completion, the dry mill is almost ready to process its first lots.

This facility will allow ACM to:

  • Process up to 3 container lots per day for greater agility

  • Ensure full traceability from arrival to export

  • Offer customized preparations that meet buyers’ specific needs

  • Increase transparency and efficiency for our cooperative partners
