Enhancing ElevaFinca’s Operations and Aroma Café & Miel Project
In the past few months, ElevaFinca has undergone strategic team changes to better support our ongoing projects and elevate the development of the Aroma Café & Miel (ACM) project in Honduras.
Key Leadership Appointment: Jaime Ortega
Jaime Ortega has been a strong member of ElevaFinca for years, with deep expertise in our operations and an understanding of Ecotierra’s broader structure. With the launch of the ACM project, a $9.2 million investment, we recognized that Jaime’s experience made him the ideal candidate for the role of General Project Manager.
Since stepping into this position, Jaime has already made a significant impact. The construction of the dry mill is advancing smoothly, and he’s building a strong team to ensure success. His familiarity with ElevaFinca’s operations guarantees seamless communication between ACM and ElevaFinca as we work toward shared goals.

Meet Jaime Ortega: Leading with Vision and Collaboration
"My name is Jaime Ortega, and I'm excited to lead the 'Aroma Café y Miel' project in Honduras. Originally from Chiclayo, Peru, I bring years of experience in international business administration and the coffee and cocoa industries. My journey with ElevaFinca began as Operations Coordinator, where I worked closely with over 30 organizations in coffee production and export.
My goals are simple: enhance production processes, improve coffee quality, and strengthen relationships while driving sustainable and socially responsible development. I value collaboration, transparency, and fostering a positive work culture within ACM as we aim for new levels of success."
Supporting Roles at ACM and ElevaFinca
To fill Jaime’s previous role at ElevaFinca, we’ve promoted Lia Montalvo to Operations Coordinator. Lia has been a dedicated team member for 5 years and has seamlessly stepped into her new responsibilities, demonstrating strong leadership and operational skills.
Additionally, Nelson Zelaya Amador has transitioned from his role as Logistics and Commercial Coordinator at ElevaFinca to take on the same position under ACM. Both Jaime and Nelson are now based in Honduras, working closely to drive the project forward.
